In 2015 we held our first EMEA workshop to introduce people to Builder. Now in 2018 we're looking to share the best practices that keep our customers on the cutting edge of mobile innovation within their own industries. Throughout this year we will be hosting a series of specialist masterclasses that really get to the heart of what makes a great guide, with topics including ways to maximise sponsorship opportunities, what 'engagement' is and how to ensure it, and how to create a bespoke strategy to promote your guide. We'll help you measure the success of what you're doing and support you to build guides that your users will love and that deliver a positive ROI.

Creating a strategy to increase engagement

Learn what engagement is, why it is important, and how you can create a bespoke strategy to increase the engagement levels of your guides. We'll look at key metrics used to measure this, and also understand some of the key blockers that organisers face when trying build engaging guides.

Maximising sponsorship opportunities

Identify which parts of a mobile guide can be used in sponsorship opportunities, understand the metrics you can pass on to your sponsors to create value in these relationships, and get tips and ideas to help you work with your sales team to sell these opportunities to create new revenue streams. 

Build a bespoke promotion plan

So you have created the content, designed how you want it to look, and built a beautiful guide. What next? In this session you'll find out how to create a promotion plan that will ensure that your attendees download and use your guide, and really engage with all the content you have created for them.

Empower your organisation with a mobile strategy

After helping over 50,000 events of all sizes go mobile, we’re going to help you understand how to develop a mobile strategy for your organisation. Engaging your audience in the right way is key to getting mobile deployments right, and you will walk away with a framework to empower you and your team.

Design a successful employee engagement app

One of the most recent and interesting examples of app use is the employee engagement app. Organisations are increasingly aware that their staff are prolific smartphone users, and want to communicate with them on their preferred channel. This session will cover the steps you need to take to create a really engaging app to share important information with your teams.

Great news: everyone loved your app! So what do you do next? During this session we'll look at the data that is created when you launch your app, and how you can use this to improve your operations and future deployments.

Welcome and Goals

Richard Rowe, Head of New Business, will outline the goals for the Masterclass: How to understand the risks of not going mobile, the different forms of app engagement and which are most applicable to you, and finally how to build a mobile strategy for your organisation.

The price of not going mobile

In this session Richard Rowe will look at the risks that organisations could face by delaying their mobile strategy. We'll look at the factors you should consider when first deploying an app, and how you can limit the risks.

10:45 - 11:15 
What form of app engagement is right for your event?

Patrick Tettmar, Customer Success Manager, will draw upon experience gained from helping our customers, and go through the types of engagement you can achieve with a mobile app. We'll also look at the common pitfalls that limit engagement, and as a group we'll identify solutions to avoid this.

Creating a mobile first strategy for your events

So now that you know the type of engagement you want to achieve, and are aware of the value to your organisation, the next part is to understand the steps needed to prepare for your first deployment. Richard will outline this process, and then together we will create a framework for your mobile strategy.
